Summer Party Ideas: New Port Richey Parks and Pavilions
According to the New Port Richey city website, there are multiple places you can hold a party. They include the following locations. Using the parks is free and the city also offers rentals to help you hold an event.

James E. Grey Preserve on Plathe Road. This 80-acre park features nature trails that offer the opportunity to see Old Florida wildlife such as deer, turtles, wild boar and even manatees! The park has a fishing pier and a canoe launch (the park is the end of the Florida Canoe Trail). It also has two miles of trails for hiking and, most importantly for your event, large special event pavilions. It should be noted, however, that dogs are not allowed at this park.
Sims Park and Orange Lake Park at Grand Boulevard and Bank Street. This park was created with the first city ordinance in New Port Richey. The park land was donated by George R. Sims, one of the city’s first residents. The park has a band shell and amphitheater, as well as a boat dock, riverfront walk, playground, public restrooms and lots of green space. Dogs are welcome.
Frances Avenue Park. New Port Richey’s Frances Avenue Park features a playground, public restrooms and plenty of space to have a gathering. It also marks the beginning of the Florida Canoe Trail. Dogs are not allowed.
Meadows Dog Park at Larch Lane and Meadowbrook Lane. If your party involves a lot of people who want to bring dogs, then this park is the perfect location. It has fenced dog runs and separate areas for large and small dogs. It also has picnic tables, public restrooms, a playground and even a basketball court.
Cotee River Park on Grant Boulevard. This park along the riverfront features covered picnic areas, benches, free parking, and a paved walking path along the riverfront and is dog friendly.
