Pasco County Beach Parks
There are three great Pasco County beach parks to enjoy for a day out with family and friends. They all offer the best of Florida’s “Nature Coast,” including the chance to see dolphins and sea turtles, if you are lucky.
Keep these locations in mind to enjoy a great day in the sun. Many allow parties within the park, but may require reservations.

Anclote River Park
This park has everything good about the Pasco County coast all in one setting. There is 300 feet of beach on the Gulf of Mexico. There are designated areas for boating and fishing. It also is part of the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife trail, which might rank among its most famous features. Hikers may see Snowy and Reddish Egrets and Black-Bellied Plovers wading along the shore of the Anclote River.
The park is located at 1119 Baillies Road in Holiday. The park is open seven days a week, from dawn to dusk. It also offers 24-hour access to overnight parking for boat trailers.
Robert J. Strickland Memorial Park
Located about 3.5 miles north of Anclote River Park, the Strickland Memorial Park has six acres situated right on the Gulf of Mexico. That includes 200 feet of swimming area and 1,900 feet of land directly on the Gulf. There’s a pavilion, boardwalk and also two restaurants, Sam’s On The Beach and the Inn On The Gulf. Beautiful sunsets are supplied by Mother Nature.
Both this park and Anclote are great places to launch a boat for a day in the Gulf. Consider also spending the night at nearby Anclote Key Island, a state park where visitors are allowed to have overnight stays.
The park is located at 6345 Clark St. in Hudson. Park hours run from dawn to dusk, and the park also features 24-hour access to a boat ramp and boat trailer parking.
Robert K. Rees Memorial Park
This park is known for its tranquil boardwalk that traverses the wetlands on the north end of the park. It also has a two-deck observation tower that allows people to try to find dolphins as well as birds that pass through the area. The park also features beach access, a playground for kids, picnic tables and grills.
The park is located at 4835 Green Key Road in New Port Richey. It is open seven days a week from dusk until dawn.
